EPIC Global Technology EPIC Global Technology (EPIC) was founded by Greg Weismantel, a consumer packaged goods executive with over 20 years of experience in each facet of a Consumer Package Goods (CPG) organization, and 15 years as CEO of a software development company for the CPG industry.

In 1989, he founded The Vista Technology Group, Ltd., and developed the first fully integrated Trade Promotion Management system for manufacturers, which automated the sales planning and execution process from Brand Marekting to the local sales organization, broker or direct. This business was later sold to JDA Software, Phoenix AZ.

In 2001, Weismantel formed EPIC, with the mission of developing a "Collaborative" TPM system for Retailers and Manufacturers, with corresponding modules of Collaborative Trade Funds Management, Deduction Elimination, Retail Store monitoring, all synchronized with the Global Data Synchnronization Network (GSDN). EPIC would become the first Business to Business (B2B) system in the Food Industry that automated the process of moving data between the Retailer and its Suppliers for developing the Perfect Invoice and Purchase Order.

In 2003, Weismantel formed a joint venture with AquiTec, Inc., a leading vendor of Supply Chain Management (SCM) systems for the Retail Food Industry, and merged EPIC's synchronized modules with AquiTec's Procurement, Billing, and Warehouse Management Systems. This integrated system has become the first Collaborative Supply Chain Management system in existence which automates TPM functionality with SCM in a collaborative manner. Weismantel became the President of this venture in 2004.

It is the combination of Weismantel's team of Consumer Goods experts in B2B, Data Synchronization, and collaboration that provides a compelling reason for CPG Retailers and Manufacturers to utilize the EPIC/AquiTec solutions within the marketplace.
